Further to my previous message regarding our AGM.

Cumbria Neighbourhood Watch Association is currently a Company Limited by Guarantee, however, for some time now we have been in the process of changing our status to Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).

As a result and following discussions with the Charity Commission we have been advised that we should adopt a new CIO Model Constitution so that we can move the process forward. As a result we require a resolution at our AGM to adopt the Constitution which I have attached for your information.

Lorrainne Smyth, our Secretary and Board member will explain the process as part of the proposal.

As an aside to the above, you may have noticed that we currently have no Treasurer following the retirement of William Moore. In view of this, we are now looking for someone to replace him. 

If you have any previous financial experience and would be interested in this voluntary position please let me know. As you will see from the Accounts I circulated, there is little business activity throughout the year so theres not a great deal of work involved and less so once we move to CIO status.
